The jointly held Uzbekistan Aquaculture Technology Seminar has added a new chapter to Nutriera’s Internationalization

On October 30, 2024, the Aquaculture Technology Seminar, jointly organized by the Uzbekistan Fisheries Association (UFA), Nutriera Group, and Buhler Group, was grandly held in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan. Government officials, corporate representatives, aquaculture technicians, and numerous experts from Europe and China gathered in Tashkent to discuss the future development trends of the local aquaculture industry and practical solutions for the rapid development. Dr. Zhang Song, Vice President of Guangdong Nutriera Group, led a team of experts to attend the meeting and delivered a keynote presentation.

Mr. Nurmatov Sardor, an official from the Uzbekistan Fisheries Association, attended and delivered a speech. Mr. Nurmatov Sardor elaborated on the policy support of the Uzbek government for the aquaculture industry and provided insights into relevant policies. The implementation of these measures will enhance aquaculture efficiency, accelerate the rapid development of the aquaculture industry chain, and usher in broad prospects for the growth of Uzbekistan’s aquaculture sector.

Mr. Liang Guangcai, President of the Buhler Asia Feed Technology Academy (AFT) from the renowned Swiss equipment manufacturer Buhler Group, delivered a presentation titled "Introduction to Warm-Water Fish Feed Processing." In light of Uzbekistan's freshwater fisheries development, Mr. Liang provided a detailed analysis of the differences between livestock/poultry and fish in terms of living environments, nutritional requirements, and feed processing. He also shared his insights on feed processing technology in Uzbekistan.

Uzbekistan boasts abundant cold-water fishery resources, with significant potential and high value in the farming of sturgeon, rainbow trout, and other cold-water fish species. The development of cold-water fish feed production also holds broad prospects. Dr. Jan Jonkers, Senior Expert on European Aquaculture products at Buhler, presented a report on "Cold-Water Fish Feed Processing Technology." With years of industry experience, Dr. Jonkers has in-depth knowledge of cold-water fish feed production and shared many innovative and unique perspectives, proposing groundbreaking concepts for the advancement of Uzbekistan's cold-water fisheries.

Ms. Chen Lin, Technical Manager of Nutriera Group, delivered a report titled "Common Aquafeed Raw Materials and Key Quality Control Points" (Общее сырье для кормов для водных животных и ключевые точки контроля качества). She introduced common raw materials for aquatic feed and their critical quality control points, providing valuable references for Uzbekistan’s local aquafeed ingredient selection. Additionally, the report highlighted locally available raw materials in Uzbekistan, detailing potential quality issues and key control indicators to help attendees better understand local material characteristics and methods for future quality improvement.

Dr. Zhang Song, Vice President of Nutriera Group, presented a special report on "Feed Formulation Techniques for Different Fish Species" (Технология приготовления кормов для разных видов рыб). In his presentation, Dr. Zhang clearly explained the nutritional characteristics of common fish species in Uzbekistan and elaborated on how to optimize feed formulations and raw material selection based on these traits. He also proposed sustainable development strategies tailored to the local natural environment, sparking great interest among attendees and receiving enthusiastic responses.

During the interactive Q&A session, participants actively joined with Nutriera’s experts, discussing topics such as local raw material selection, nutritional requirements of aquatic species, and emerging trends in aquaculture. Nutriera team patiently addressed each question, impressing the audience with their professionalism and expertise while boosting confidence through practical technical insights.
