From 7-27 July, the“Curso de la Producción Larvaria de Camarón Marino Comercial y Técnicas del Cultivo de Alto Rendimiento de Ecuador” (Training Course on Marine Economy Shrimp Breeding and High-yield Aquaculture Technology in Ecuador) hosted by Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China, and undertaken by Fujian Institute of Oceanography was grandly held. Several Chinese experts shared the development experience and practical technology of China’s Economic shrimp breeding and high-yield aquaculture with students from Ecuador through online lectures, forums, seminars and cloud visits. Dr. Zhang Song, vice President of Nutriera Group, was invited to give lectures to the trainees on 20-21 July.

During the opening ceremony on 7 July, Mr. Chen Feng, Counselor of the Economic and Commerce Office of Chinese Embassy in Ecuador, Mr. Chen Ridi, Director of Foreign Economic Cooperation of Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Mr. Hu Dengjin, Deputy Director of Fujian Institute of Oceanography, and Ms. Sra. Carolina Emperatriz Carrion Lopez , representative from Ministry of Production, Foreign Trade, Investment and Fisheries of Ecuador delivered a speech, respectively.

In 2021, the shrimp production of Ecuador reached a high record of 84,0000 tons. And it increased more rapidly in 2022, with the whole year production volume of 1.1 million tons, which will replace India and become the world’s biggest shrimp exporter. Feed is the essential guaranteed section of safe production, nutrition and health for shrimp. Dr. Zhang Song gave a lecture entitled "Diseño de recetas del alimento para camarones y tecnología productive (Formulation Design and Production Technology of Prawn Feed)”, which has attracted great attention. In addition, Dr. Zhang Song demonstrated Nutriera’s technical accumulation and practical experience on nutrition research and production processing of shrimp through a large number of detailed cases. The professional presentation and interesting teaching way have left a deep impression on the trainees.

Meanwhile, Nutriera was invited to join China-Latin America Agricultural Education Science and Technology Innovation Alliance, Guangdong-Latin America Exchange and Cooperation Dialogue, and the 2nd International Agricultural Innovation Alliance to establish a partnership with Latin American countries including Ecuador.
